Hi!
First of all I would like to say a big thanks!!!
I have now downloaded the CB 5.7 and i ran as administrator. This works but only in throttles.
But it works reversable ( i do the starboard throttle astern and the ship is going ahead,or i do the port throttle astern and is going ahead)
The rudder also not works.
I have dound some settings through the forum for reversable throttles but they dont work to my console.
I try to find a solution, hoping to have a new feedback

Models / .3DS or .X format confused
Last post by leadlinelover - October 07, 2022, 11:53:48 PM
So maybe it is because I am based out of the States or some other reason. But it seems making .3DS or .X models is extremely hard to do. It seems both of these model types are not standard in normal software.

For example it seems that Blender stoped supporting both awhile ago, almost 2 years ago.

So I have to ask. Does anyone have any software I can use for model building??

Or

Will other file types work? Say .stl or .obj which seem to be the more common file type.

Hi, EVIDIM can I check which version of Bridge Command you are running? From your description, I think this is version 4.

If so, in this old version, Bridge Command will use the settings file in the installation directory. If this is in 'Program Files' or similar, Windows will probably be preventing the ini file editor from actually saving (to prevent users accidentally changing system wide settings). Assuming you have admin rights on your computer, you should be able to edit the file directly (bc4.ini in the installation directory), or by running the settings editor as admin.

Scenarios / Re: Spinning Uncontrollably

Hi, is it possible that your boat is starting substantially aground? This can cause what you describe. One way of checking is to choose the VIC56_360 own ship model. If this doesn't spin, then it's likely that this is the problem (own ship models using 360 pano photos use an old 'grounding'  model)

Scenarios / Spinning Uncontrollably
Last post by leadlinelover - October 05, 2022, 05:07:48 PM
I am working on the world builder and made a simple map in NYC.

I keep finding myself spinning uncontrollably with any boat.

I keep having this issue with any location I make.

Any ideas on what is happeing?

I can send the files to anyone if you would like to look at them. Looks like they are too large to attach

You can just type in 'localhost' (without the quote marks). This is a special name used by all computers to refer to themselves.

Alternatively, when you start Bridge Command in secondary mode, and it is waiting for the main session to start, it will tell you the computer's actual name on the network, which you can use instead if you want.

Let me know if this isn't clear!
