We would find it useful in training to be able to switch on a grid over the field of view from inside or outside the wheelhouse, giving bearings to objects in view (approaching vessels, aids-to-navigation, etc) to the nearest degree. It would be nice to simulate a hand compass, or some such, but it would be a lot easier to just toggle a scale on/off with a keypress. It would be good to have both True and Magnetic available, or set in one of the ini files. What about variation? Set in the appropriate World ini?
Thanks!
Bob.

Perhaps Gyro bearing from a crosshair in the binolcular ?  Then you could model checking for gyro error also and the consequences of having a large gyro error
