Models / Models based on photos feature
« on: January 15, 2022, 08:49:29 PM »
Hey there, firstly, well done on the new additions through the years, just visited back and saw some nice new features.

I was wondering if you could explain further on how to use the new feature:

"Support for own ship models based on panoramic (360) photos, instead of using a 3d model. This may make it much easier for people to represent their own vessels in the simulation."

Where and how would I access that? Thanks.

Stay safe and looking forward to the growing features!

Just noticed you have a new version up, ver 5 alpha 2. Great to see!

I haven't had a chance yet to try it, just downloaded it so will give it a test in the coming days. Looking forward to any added features. Keep up the great work!

Feature requests & suggestions / AIS input and Google Earth?
« on: April 11, 2014, 03:01:04 PM »
Hi there,

Is there any possibility of bringing in AIS to display in realtime in the sim? With the amount of AIS tracking sites out there, there is a lot of data available, one site is marinetraffic.com but there are a few.

It would be great to perform simulations with realtime shipping positions through AIS. Perhaps a standard model for cargo, tanker and/or passenger liner could be selected with the values given by the API data?

Thanks.

Bridge Command General Support / Great simulator

Hi there,

Just found your simulator and wanted to say, well done! I'm looking forward to further developments and will enjoying giving it a test this week.

I was wondering though, are tugboats able to be modeled in the sim? I noticed I didn't bounce off a boat unless its in the settings perhaps?

Many thanks and will be back regularly.
Kind regards
Brad
