Title: How to disable joystick input?
Post by: ragerin on June 15, 2017, 11:57:53 AM
Hey!

Just found this sim, wanting to try it out. But it registers an accelerometer in my PC, rendering me unable to control the vessels with my mouse.

Can I disable joystick-use completely?

Cheers!

Can you try changing the joystick number (joystick_no_port, joystick_no_stbd and joystick_no_rudder) to a non existent value, e.g. 10, using the settings editor. I think that should disable the input. If not, let me know and I can implement a setting to explicitly disable it.

Hello and thank you for your rapid response!

The workaround did indeed work. :-) It'd be a bit more intuitive with an explicit toggle, though.

The sim is looking great - I'm looking much forward to try it out multiplayer with a friend of mine soon.

Would you recommend playing this sim without a joystick, Ragerin?

@ToryLed, sorry for my late response.

I find it plays fine without a joystick.
